Our mission is to increase unity in the world by empowering youth to travel and to connect with and learn from others. By providing tools that help young people travel the world on a budget, we are democratizing travel and giving more people the opportunity to have life-changing and mind-opening experiences.

What is our story?

WeHostels was founded in 2011 by a group of young travelers who met in New York City after having traveled the world on separate, but ultimately diverging, paths. Their trips opened their minds to new realities, and they were inspired to help others get out of their comfort zones and experience life-changing travel, like they had. With passion and enthusiasm, they attracted the resources to get started, and the company has been growing fast ever since.

The founding team shares a love for traveling, but also represents a diverse international perspective, being from three different countries – Argentina, Colombia and the United States.
